I’ve admired Marsh since its early days and have loved watching it evolve with new designs, colours and fabrications.

The clothes are so versatile and wearable, I find myself often reaching for mens clothes for the fact they’re usually more comfortable, better quality and so easy to chuck on.

I’ve been living in the white chef pants and hemp long sleeve. I have a lazy-relaxed approach to getting dressed and I want to feel understated yet considered.

As a local Byron brand Marsh was front of mind to shoot, and I had recently ran into Ernie and wanted to shoot with her again - we shot together a few years ago and she has been traveling a lot since.

I find Ernie really unique, she is wise beyond her years, and her passion for writing and connection to obscure and fascinating subjects and people I find really cool.

She is so easy to photograph, and has an effortless comfortability about her which I think is reflected in the images.

I could see Ernie in Marsh, and as soon as I asked if she was keen she had the idea of shooting in her place near Eltham, at her writing desk and comfort of her home.
Even though writing doesn’t come to the front of mind as a ‘workwear’ required job, Marsh’s shapes and natural fabrics are also perfect for at home and more creative ‘work’ forms.

I shot these images on film, to capture the light and essence of Ernie, her home and the gentle textures of the clothes. This is my favourite medium and find the uncertainty of the outcome very special.

I’m really happy with how the photos turned out, and it is so nice to collaborate with local brands who are passionate about what they do. We love MARSH!!
