Can you tell us a little about your work? I’m a naturopath and herbalist with a background in herbal manufacturing. As a mum of four, I’ve seen how herbs can really support family health, which inspired Herb Remedy. We make simple, effective remedies as a bit of anarchy against all the over-complicated, toxic stuff out there. Bar Soap has been our foundation for nearly 15 years, and Herb Remedy lets us expand into other herbal products.

Do you have a work uniform (pieces you naturally reach for each day?)
Comfort always wins. Living and working in the Northern Rivers means I reach for natural, breathable fibres that I can move around in easily. No joke I’ve been wearing the Green Marsh Work Pants every day.

What does a typical day look like for you?
There isn’t really a typical day. Running a business with a small team means I wear a lot of hats. From making products to managing the business and everything in between.

What role does routine play in your life and practice?

Routine helps keep me balanced and on track. I make space for things that ground me like serving tea and exercise. I am a big fan of a decent breakfast and eating lunch at 11am. I love an early dinner and going to bed early. I’m learning to say no to things. It’s a daily practice.

We are very inspired by your work, what feels next for Herb Remedy?

Thank you, and me you. Can we have a moment for the amazing businesses in the Byron Industrial Estate?

Herb Remedy is still young but it has really found its groove over the last six months. My approach is slow and steady. The goal is to build a trusted place for families and create products that reflect the simplicity and effectiveness of traditional plant remedies.
